Where he fits in New England
- I should change this title too " where he doesn't fit in NE " in the interest of saving time. Cobb can pretty well line up at every spot on offensive, ( not along the offensive line ) literally. Don't pigeon hold yourself to the idea that Cobb is Welker, Edelman 3.0 He's not. He has the ability to play outside, inside and in the backfield. The definition of a match up nightmare. He is the same height and weight as Santonio Holmes, and poses similar speed. Cobb plays a lot faster and harder then his combine numbers may indicate next month. He passes my "eye test". Played a significant amount of QB at Kentucky, most out of the wild cat. The possibility for play creation with the ball in his hands as a passer/runner are very intriguing. As far as where belichick would play him, I doubt he'd see many carries as a traditional RB. He'd be deployed similarly to Woodhead in the backfield but most snaps would be as a WR. He and Woodhead flanking Brady in the shot-gun makes the offensive coordinator in my tingle.

NFL comparison - Percy Harvin

Upside
- Route running
- Versatility
- YAC
- Blocks well
- Elusiveness
- Has literally all of the intangibles.

Improvement needed in his straight line speed, hands are better then average but not elite.
